Your account

Gen AI Lingo stores your email address, protected password information, profile, daily goal, time zone, learning progress, lesson submissions and account sessions in your account. Your account identifier connects progress and Premium access across devices.

On your device

Lesson drafts, prompt drafts, preferences and pending learning records are stored on the device. Mobile credentials use the operating system keychain. The web app keeps credentials in browser storage. Lesson content is fetched when needed and held briefly in memory; the app does not save the course catalogue for offline use.

Payments and purchase verification

Our payment providers and your app store process purchases and verify subscription status. They receive the information needed to process payments under their own privacy policies. Gen AI Lingo stores account and provider identifiers, subscription status, expiry and event identifiers. Gen AI Lingo does not receive or store your card number.

Analytics and advertising measurement

If you allow measurement, Gen AI Lingo uses Google Analytics to understand visits, account setup, lesson and course completion, and purchase outcomes across genailingo.com and app.genailingo.com. Google may receive device and browser information, page addresses, campaign parameters and advertising click identifiers. We do not send your email address, display name, lesson answers, prompt text or recovery key to analytics. A consent cookie shared across our main domain and app subdomain remembers your choice for one year.

Optional AI feedback

When you request AI coaching, your prompt is sent to the Cloudflare AI service. The local prompt checklist does not send your prompt. Do not include sensitive personal information in practice prompts.

Security and retention

The backend uses session authentication, access checks and rate limits. It avoids logging passwords, session tokens, recovery keys, payment details and learner prompts. Webhook event identifiers are retained for up to 90 days to process retries safely. Limited billing identifiers may be retained after account deletion to prevent purchase reassignment and handle payment lifecycle events; providers retain their own transaction records.

Your controls

You can update your profile, manage subscriptions and delete your account from the app’s settings. Deletion removes the account’s learning data and sessions. Offline copies on other devices may remain until those devices reconnect or their local data is cleared. Cancel Apple or Google subscriptions separately in the relevant store.
