Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Gen AI Lingo. These Terms of Service and Subscription Terms ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gen AI Lingo website (genailingo.com), learner application (app.genailingo.com), and mobile applications. By accessing our services or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance & Eligibility
By using Gen AI Lingo, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age required in your country to consent to digital services, such as 16 in certain EU member states) and legally capable of entering into a binding contract. If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or legal guardian review and accept these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your Account & Security
To track your learning and access Premium features, you must register an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information during registration.
- Keep your login credentials, password, and account recovery keys secure and confidential.
- Notify us immediately at hi@genailingo.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
- Take responsibility for all activities conducted under your account. Each account is for individual personal use and may not be shared or transferred.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
Gen AI Lingo is designed to build AI confidence and practical skills in a supportive, constructive learning environment. You agree that you will not:
- Use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or harmful purpose.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code or proprietary models of the service.
- Use automated spiders, scrapers, bots, or crawlers to extract course materials, lesson answers, or user information without prior written authorization.
- Transmit malicious code, viruses, or attempts to disrupt or bypass authentication, security safeguards, or rate limits.
- Submit abusive prompts, prompt injection payloads intended to compromise infrastructure, or content that infringes upon the intellectual property or privacy of any third party.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
All aspects of Gen AI Lingo—including but not limited to the curriculum, text, graphics, illustrations, mascot designs (including Tavi), animations, audio, software, trademarks, and service marks—are the exclusive intellectual property of Gen AI Lingo and its licensors.
- License to Learners: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and complete lessons for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
- Your Content: You retain ownership of the text prompts, reflections, and notes you submit during practice. You grant Gen AI Lingo a worldwide, royalty-free license solely to transmit, process, and display your submissions to provide the educational features you request (such as AI feedback).
5. AI Feedback & Educational Disclaimers
Gen AI Lingo teaches practical AI concepts, prompting, source verification, and critical thinking. Please note the following regarding our instructional and AI features:
- Educational Purposes Only: The service and all course materials are provided strictly for educational and informational purposes. Nothing in our lessons or interactive feedback constitutes professional legal, medical, financial, tax, or certified technical advice.
- Probabilistic Nature of AI: Automated feedback provided in practice labs is generated using large language models. AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Our curriculum specifically teaches learners to verify facts and exercise independent human judgment when evaluating AI responses.
6. Gen AI Lingo Premium & Subscriptions
Gen AI Lingo offers optional Premium plans providing uninterrupted access to the complete course catalogue, hands-on practice and spaced-repetition reviews. An active internet connection is required to fetch lesson content.
Weekly Subscription
The base price is US$4.99 per week. Pricing may vary by country or currency, and any applicable local sales taxes or VAT are calculated and displayed before you confirm checkout. When you subscribe, payment is charged immediately and renews automatically every week until cancelled. We do not offer introductory free trials unless explicitly stated in a specific promotional offer.
Lifetime Purchase
The base price is US$299 paid once on the web. Lifetime access has no recurring subscription fees and no expiration date for the lifetime of the product. Upgrades from weekly plans to lifetime are separate one-time purchases; upon confirmation of a lifetime web purchase, future automated renewals on that web account cease. If you hold an active Apple App Store or Google Play weekly subscription, you must cancel it directly in your device store settings.
Unified Account Access
Premium access is tied to the unique Gen AI Lingo account used at the time of purchase. You can access your Premium benefits across any supported device (web, iPhone, and Android) simply by logging into that same Gen AI Lingo account. Purchases cannot be transferred to a different account.
7. Cancellations & Restoring Access
- Web Purchases: You can manage or cancel your weekly subscription at any time directly in the app: go to Settings → Premium & subscriptions → Manage subscription.
- Apple App Store / Google Play: In-app purchases on mobile are billed directly through Apple or Google. To cancel, open your Apple Subscriptions or Google Play Subscriptions settings. Please cancel at least 24 hours prior to the next renewal date.
- Access After Cancellation: When you cancel a subscription, you retain full Premium access through the end of the period you have already paid for. No further renewal charges will occur.
- Restoring Purchases: If you switch devices or reinstall the mobile app, you can restore your mobile purchase by visiting Premium & subscriptions while logged into your original app-store account.
8. Refunds & Payment Issues
Refunds are handled through the platform where your purchase was completed:
- App Store & Google Play: In-app purchases must be requested directly through Apple Support or Google Play Support under their respective customer refund policies.
- Web Purchases: For web billing questions, accidental duplicate charges, or statutory consumer withdrawal rights, contact us at hi@genailingo.com. We review each request in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
9. Account Termination & Deletion
You may delete your account at any time via the app settings (Settings → Device & account data → Delete account) or by contacting support. Deleting your account permanently deletes your profile and saved progress, and stops renewal billing for web subscriptions. (Mobile store subscriptions must still be cancelled via Apple or Google settings).
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or abuse our infrastructure, with or without prior notice.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
GEN AI LINGO AND ALL ASSOCIATED SERVICES, LESSONS, AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GEN AI LINGO, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF FIFTY US DOLLARS (US$50.00) OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO GEN AI LINGO IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. In the event of any controversy or dispute, we strongly encourage you to contact us first at hi@genailingo.com so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally and constructively.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms occasionally to reflect feature additions or regulatory requirements. We will indicate the date of the latest update at the top of this page. Continued use of Gen AI Lingo following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
